KUALA LUMPUR: The MCA has launched a government monitoring committee to keep tabs on the Pakatan Harapan government's performance.
Party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) said MCA appointed 300 members with professional qualifications to the committee on Saturday (June 8).
At a press conference to launching the committee on Sunday (June 9) Dr Wee said committee members would serve in nine different units, covering law, economics, environment and other fields as well as ministries.
"We have identified and laid out the work scope for each unit so that they can monitor each ministry in a more comprehensive way," he said, adding that committee members are encouraged to work with NGOs.
